The Minnesota Fall Maintenance Expo was founded in 1995. The event has grown from the Aldrich Arena in Maplewood to the Anoka County Fairgrounds to City of Saint Cloud’s Public Works Facility, to its new location at Canterbury Park in Shakopee Minnesota. This current location offers vendor space for up to 108 Outdoor Vendors and 90 Indoor Vendors, classroom sessions, and space for snowplow “Roadeo” and Skid Steer or Excavator competitions.
In the spring of 2015, the Minnesota Fall Maintenance Expo was granted 501c3 non-profit status by the Federal government. Ahola, Mack & Associates, Ltd. of Stillwater, MN, complete taxes and related financial inquiries. The event is run by a Board of Directors (all volunteers) and committee chairs (all volunteers). There is one paid administrative person.
The Minnesota Fall Maintenance Expo aims to provide an informational, 2-day event for city, county, state, and township maintenance employees by programming relevant education sessions, providing vendor opportunities to showcase the latest in equipment, and keeping the event affordable.
